HY-VEE OF FORT MADISON will serve its traditional pork dinner starting at 5 p.m. on the rodeo grounds in Fort Madison’s Rodeo Park. Admission is free with a rodeo button.

KEOKUK LABOR DAY PARADE is 11 a.m. down Main Street. Food and entertainment will follow at the Labor Temple at 301 Blondeau St.

MISS RODEO IOWA 2024, Lille Longhorn, will be on hand at all the pre-rodeo events and will host the Little Miss Rodeo and All Around Cowboy competition at 6:30 p.m. at a stage outside the rodeo arena at Fort Madison’s Rodeo Park.

MOOSE LODGE 579, 2529 Mount Pleasant St., Labor Day Celebration will serve chicken and fish with sides at 11:45 a.m., with cake walk at 1 p.m., raffle and 50/50 drawing.

THE 23RD ANNUAL LIL’ SPURS RODEO begins at 10 a.m. Monday at the rodeo arena in Fort Madison’s Rodeo Park where youngsters as young as 3 and as old as 14 compete in mutton busting, calf riding, goat tail tying, stick horse barrel racing and a greased pig contest.
